We at ACQSYS Supply Chain Solutions are the UK’s only national recovery service for lost and stolen roll cages, totes, trays and magnums.  ACQSYS started life as a simple commercial response to problem losses in the last mile supply chain and, while returning lost equipment to the original owner or supply chain makes sense economically, it soon became clear the work we do is also of direct benefit to the environment.  

 

Transit equipment goes missing for many reasons, but the major causes of loss are:

• Neglect and inattention by staff;
• Theft for sale to scrap yards;
• Theft for own use instead of buying or renting.

 

Every year we repatriate thousands of tonnes of steel and plastic to the rightful owners and every asset we rescue is another that doesn’t have to be manufactured, saving precious natural resources and reducing energy use and emissions.

 

ACQSYS works to break the current linear economic model of “Take, Make, Dispose” by interrupting that flow and introducing the circular model of “Reuse, Reduce, Recycle”.  Through our actions, we intercept assets before the Dispose phase and, subsequently, reduce the Take and Make activities.  Every asset you have to replace is adding to the disposal phase and our goal is to break that destructive pattern, replacing it with a circular cycle where the asset isn’t lost in the first place.
